Making Things C̶l̶u̶b̶ Shop

If the title of this post has you excited and/or possibly a little confused, then imagine how over the moon we are feeling to announce our plans for a Making Things Club pop-up shop this Christmas!  We've been getting things organised behind the scenes and now we are ready to spread the word and find some creative folks to get on board to help us deliver a new kind of shop and making things place all in one!

Making Things Club shop will be a place for everyone, where you can shop, buy craft materials, participate in quick 'make-and-takeaways' and attend organised workshops in the lead up to the holiday season.  We have plans to spread creative joy and demonstrate our “diy” ethos right smack dab in the middle of Bristol’s biggest, most bustling retail centre this Christmas, and we are looking for makers, designers, workshoppers and other creative folk to get on board to help us roll out a fantastically creative, handmade month of making!

We are looking for creative folks who would like to

a) sell - handmade products, small prints, or craft kits and supplies

and/or

b) teach - scheduled workshops on weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons in the shop

Although there are only a limited number of spaces available, we would like to make this opportunity open to everyone from established makers to those who are new to the scene, who could benefit from an opportunity such as this.  We have organised the shop so that time commitment will vary maker to maker, and that the low participation fees can either be paid in pounds or 'in-kind' through shifts in the shop.

If you'd like to get involved then please email us at making.things.club@gmail.com for more details and to request an application.

Remember applications are due on September 30th!
